DevOps Security Engineer/AWS Security Engineer – LONDON, UK

Exciting opportunity for a DevOps Security Engineer/AWS Security Engineer in an AMAZING healthcare tech company in London has just opened! They are headquartered in New York and have leveraged mobile and cloud-based applications, combined with their latest Artificial Intelligence (Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Data Science) to bring about a better way for pharma & healthcare businesses to deliver to you & I.

You will play the leading role in developing and advancing their cloud services, data architecture and dashboard products, working closely with their other NYC-based developers, designers, scientists.

What you will do: 

  • Understand business goals/drivers to translate into secure and performant solutions
  • Design, test and support solutions in cloud – AWS 
  • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems
  • Implement systems that are highly available and scalable
  • Create and update system and process documentation/SOPs as needed
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge to help train other teams and team members
  • Write scripts (Python or any other programming language)


  • 5 or more years’ experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments
  • In depth knowledge of AWS cloud platform and services (S3, ECR, ECS, VPC, DynamoDB, EC2, Cognito, Lambda etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Container Platforms, Micro Services, REST
  • Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language
  • Experience in automation and testing via scripting/programming
  • Experience working with and building CI/CD pipelines
  • Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems
  • Working knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS/SIEM systems, DDOS prevention etc.,
  • Knowledge of threat modeling, especially for web application and web APIs
  • Experience with OS hardening standards
  • Experienced in either one of these security tools and benchmarks: Nessus, Nmap, AWS inspector, AWS Guardduty, Lynis, NIST & CIS benchmark…
  • Working knowledge of Database/Development tools (MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, AWS DynamoDB)
  • Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
  • Good understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies
