Role Overview/Role requirements

  • You have been driving (at least 2) similar Ruby projects in agile teams
  • You’ve tackled challenges like performance, scalability, legacy code
  • Profound understanding of the differences in key-value stores, relational and “NoSQL” database systems
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, experience in other databases is a plus
  • Deep understanding of how the web works
  • Understanding of browser-server, server-server communication
  • Knowledge of distributed queuing systems
  • And knowledge in things like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a (big) plus
  • Experiences designing and implementing restful and hypermedia APIs
  • We think there is more than JSON over HTTP
  • You’ve used RSpec
  • Experience in Test Driven Development is welcome

They are looking for a new Magento enthusiast to join their fast and dynamic team.

Deliverables and Output

  • Technical leadership, including the management of contractors and/or off-shore dev teams.
  • Close liaison with the design team to ensure interaction sits at the heart of our creative approach.
  • Manage and scope integrations (ERP/CRM etc.)
  • Document technology methodology in Confluence.
  • Develop the agency processes, including our approach to distributed development.
  • Code reviews.
  • Keep at the forefront of technical developments. We will always invest in the exploration of new techniques and technologies.
  • Identify where you (or our team) have skills-gaps, and hire responsibly to compliment agency shortcomings.
  • You will also be key in helping building and structuring our development offering.

Experience

  • Commercial experience developing using Magento CMS. Eagerness to learn and deploy Magento 2 projects.
  • Experience working in a Digital Agency environment
  • Experience of Back-End Development techniques (PHP, MySQL)
  • Comfortable with responsive design principals
  • Some exposure to Browser Testing including A/B Testing and Debugging
  • Razor sharp understanding of front end technologies. 3 years’ experience (min.) with HTML5, CSS3 and JQuery.
  • Exposure to WordPress or Drupal is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills and client facing ability

With over 120 years’ experience, they have gone from strength to strength and is now a leading UK communications provider with international presence across Europe, Asia and the United States that has aided its evolution in becoming a leading supplier in roamed services.

Role Outline – This role with be responsible for managing contracts and software licences and also ensuring the business is fully aware of its financial and service commitments. One of their first tasks will be to implement and manage a software license compliance programme that supports growth, delivers financial efficiency and supports excellent customer service. We would like someone who has minimum 2 years’ experience in managing complex licensing structure in at least one of the following OEM: Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Talk Talk Business as well as experience in assessing and implementing an improvement programme ideally focused on Contract / Licensing management. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of complex partner contractual structures and frameworks and have a strong understanding of CRM.

Requirements:

  • A Level in Maths & English grade 3
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing complex licensing structure in at least one of the following OEM: Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Talk Talk Business.
  • Experience in assessing and implementing an improvement programme ideally focused on Contract / Licensing management.
